Bellingham’s Rocket Donuts decides to close

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A destination donut shop in Bellingham is permanently closing its doors.

Rocket Donuts announced that they are officially closing on September 2nd after fifteen years in business.

“We wish to thank our loyal customers for their patronage over the years and we welcome you to come in and say goodbye throughout the month of August,” they wrote.

The Holly Street location will be turned over to new owner Mike Hammes of Ram Construction who plans to bring new business into downtown.

Acme Ice Cream will take over the Fairhaven location, which will become their flagship shop.
