BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Downtown Bellingham Partnership, in coordination with Western Washington University and the City Bellingham, are inviting students to head downtown for events, discounts and more.

It all kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. with First Night Out.

Join a procession from Red Square to Depot Market Square for live music presented by Blue Room, a block party, and a chance to explore over 30 downtown businesses.

Besides the scheduled monthly events, Western students can become an INSIDER to get discounts at Mallard’s Ice Cream, Pure Bliss Desserts, Third Planet and Flatstick Pubs.

Plus, every Wednesday, businesses will be offering discounts to anyone with student, faculty or staff ID.

It’s a great opportunity to explore the City of Subdued Excitement and save some money at the same time.
