BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – After finishing a strong final season playing basketball for Western Washington University, Brooke Walling has made the jump to play professional basketball in Europe.

The All-American forward has signed with AB Contern, a semi-professional basketball club in the country of Luxembourg. Walling will start training with the club in the summer, following her graduation from WWU with a degree in Mathematics.

During her three seasons at WWU, Walling was a part of the starting five in 88 of the 90 possible games. She averaged 13.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and shot for 55.2% over three seasons. She finished her WWU career with 31 double-doubles and ranks 14th in program history in points scored (1,206).

“The stats and honors speak to all her accomplishments,” said Carmen Dolfo, head coach of the WWU Women’s Basketball team. “I am excited for her to get this experience overseas after a wonderful collegiate career.”

During Walling’s time in the program, the women’s team held a record of 73-17 and three NCAA championship appearances.
