UPDATE: WSP Silver Alert canceled; Bellingham man found safe

Update 6/13/26 1:05 p.m.: Bellingham Police report Mr. Weatherby has been found safe.

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Police are asking for help locating a missing older person in Bellingham.

Bellingham Police said that 79-year-old Daniel Weatherby was last seen Monday, June 15 at about 7 a.m. at the WTA Cordata Bus Station.

He’s described as a 6’1″ white male that’s mostly bald with blue eyes. Surveillance video shows Weatherby wearing a red and black checkered flannel and blue jeans.

WSP investigators say that Weatherby’s disappearance “poses a credible threat to his safety and wellbeing.”

Anyone who sees him or has information on his location is asked to call 911.
