WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Some minor flooding could be coming to Whatcom County this week, but the worst is likely behind us.

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a flood watch through Thursday afternoon as a second atmospheric river makes its way through the region.

The Nooksack River at Ferndale is currently forecast to reach the action stage around 10 a.m. on Wednesday and is expected to remain there through Thursday morning.

The Nooksack at North Cedarville and at the Saxon Bridge are both forecast to crest well below action levels.
