BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Light snow and freezing temperatures are in the forecast for Whatcom County this week.

The National Weather Service in Seattle (NWS) says wind chills could drop to 10 degrees in Bellingham and 3 degrees in Lynden on Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

A cold weather advisory remains in effect through 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Forecasters say intermittent snow showers will continue throughout the lowlands of western Whatcom and Skagit counties over the next week.

But neither area is expected to receive more than 1″ of snow.

In the meantime, Whatcom County Public Works says its crews are still working to clear the roads from heavy snow that came over the past few days.
