WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County roadwork season is in full swing.

WSDOT has reduced Hwy 9 to one lane north of Bengen Road for a bridge deck inspection. Crews will continue to alternate traffic in the area until the inspection is complete.

That work is being done in conjunction with a paving project spanning from Nugent’s Corner to Nooksack.

In Lynden, commuters should plan for alternate routes if they normally travel on E Badger Road. WSDOT will be closing the intersection at E Badger and Benson roads Sunday night.

Roundabout work will have traffic detouring onto the Guide Meridian, E Pole Road and Hwy 9 through next Friday, June 26.
