TRAFFIC: All lanes of northbound I-5 blocked near Lakeway Drive

Update: Both lanes on I-5 near Lakeway Drive (milepost 253) reopened at around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5. 

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – All northbound lanes on I-5 are blocked due to collision near Lakeway Drive (milepost 253).

WSDOT sent the alert at 5:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and are urging drives to use alternate routes and expect delays.

Traffic is currently being diverted on to Lakeway Drive, and all cars must exit the interstate.

There is currently no estimated time of reopening of these lanes or information on the crash.

Drivers can stay up to date on traffic delays by visiting the WSDOT website.
