BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A third tiny home village is in the works for Bellingham.

City officials are partnering with nonprofit Homes NOW! to create the new space, which will be located on Division Street near the Whatcom County Jail Work Center.

The new tiny home village will feature 35 to 40 homes for those experiencing homelessness.

My Bellingham Now previously reported on the opening of North Haven last summer, which was a consolidation of two other tiny home villages operating within the city.

The new Division Street village is being funded through community partners, Bellingham’s Affordable Housing Levy and the Justice Project Sales Tax.

Construction is scheduled to begin this winter, with a tentative opening date set for early next year.
