BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Grammy-nominated group from the PNW has added a surprise stop in Bellingham this summer.

The Decemberists announced they’ll be performing at the Mount Baker Theater on Friday, Aug. 2, as part of their “A Peaceable Kingdom” tour.

Their two Seattle performances preceding the Mount Baker show have sold out.

The band, based in Troutdale, Oregon, recently announced their ninth studio album “As It Ever Was, As It Will Be Again.”

Their show at MBT will feature guest indie rockers Ratboys.

Tickets go on sale for Mount Baker Theater members Thursday, with general public tickets available Friday morning.
