Skagit County Sheriff’s Office seeks information of deceased canine bodies on Guemes Island

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A disturbing discovery in Skagit County has law enforcement asking the public for help.

The Sheriff’s Office says that the bodies of six canines were found on the shore of Guemes Island last Thursday.

Over the course of the past week, Animal Control found five more carcasses around the island’s shoreline.

Yet another deceased dog was discovered Tuesday in the La Conner Channel.

It’s unclear if the canines are domestic dogs, wolves, or coyotes.

Their causes of death are being probed by Skagit County Animal Control.

Anyone who might have any information on the deceased animals is being urged to call either the Sheriff’s Office or Animal Control.
