SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A recent farm sale in Skagit County is leading to some changes ahead of tulip season.

Skagit Acres announced last week that it has sold its property to Van Wingerden Greenhouses in Blaine.

The Van Wingerden family says that they’ve been looking at expanding their business and will turn Skagit Acres’ property on Peter Johnson Road into another garden center.

As for agritourism, Tulip Town will be hosting the holiday markets and other seasonal experiences that originated at Skagit Acres. Current holiday events will continue through the end of this year.

An opening date for the new Van Wingerden location has not yet been announced.
