EVERSON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another disaster assistance center will be opening for December flooding victims.

FEMA says that they will have specialists available at A Watered Garden Family Learning Center in Everson for the next few weeks. The assistance center will be open most Tuesdays from 5-8 p.m. starting May 12 through June 9, with an exception for May 19.

FEMA’s original location at the Sumas Advent Christian Church remains open for anyone in need of flood-related assistance. That location is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, with plans to wind down operations by June 10.

Both disaster assistance centers have resources for families, tribal members and small businesses in need of financial support stemming from December’s historic flooding. Any applications for FEMA or SBA must be submitted by June 10.
