SEATTLE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Sinclair Broadcast Group is bringing Jimmy Kimmel Live! back to its ABC affiliate stations tonight.

The move ends a dayslong TV blackout for dozens of stations, including Seattle’s KOMO-TV, over remarks the comedian made in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s killing.

Sinclair, which is known for conservative political content, called on Kimmel to apologize to Kirk’s family and asked him to make a meaningful personal donation to Turning Point USA.

Even after Disney brought Kimmel back to its national airways on Tuesday, both Sinclair and rival broadcaster Nexstar continued to preempt the show.

The blackouts escalated nationwide uproar around First Amendment protections.

Nexstar has not made any decision on whether their affiliates will air Kimmel’s program.
