PORTLAND, OR (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A rival of the Bellingham Bells has made history for cannabis lovers.

The West Coast League’s own Portland Pickles have partnered with Ballard, Washington-based Cycling Frog to become the first sports team to sell THC beverages at their games.

The Pickles started selling the THC-infused seltzers on Tuesday, June 18. The drinks contain 2 mg of hemp-derived THC and 4 mg of CBD per can in order to comply with the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission.

The Pickles were also the first team to partner with a CBD company in 2019 before teams all the way up to the Major League level joined the wave.

For 21+ Bells fans interested in trying the beverage, the team has no regular season games against the Pickles since they play in separate divisions. That means they won’t match up unless the two teams meet in the West Coast League Championship.
