BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBelinghamNow.com) – PNW Media Group, in partnership with DeWaard & Bode, announced on Dec. 3 that this year’s Feed the Need fundraiser generated an impressive $440,577 to support hunger-relief efforts across Northwest Washington.

As part of the campaign, DeWaard & Bode contributed a generous $150,000 matching donation, helping drive community participation and elevate the impact of the initiative.

“We are so humbled and deeply grateful that our community came together to make this big of an impact. We thank each and every one of you!” – Jerry & Dorene Roorda, Owners

Funds raised through Feed the Need will support food banks serving families in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties, ensuring agencies have the resources needed to meet rising demand during the winter season.

Benefiting organizations include the Bellingham Food Bank, Lynden Food Bank, Community Action of Skagit County, Friday Harbor Food Bank and Good Cheer Food Bank & Thrift Store on Whidbey Island.

“A huge thank you to DeWaard & Bode and PNW Media Group for your rapid response that came a critical time for food insecure families. We are in awe at the generosity your support has generated in the face of great uncertainty.” – Stephanie Sisson, Communications and Outreach Coordinator.

PNW Media Group expressed gratitude to local businesses, donors and volunteers who contributed to this year’s campaign.

“It’s hard to make people in the radio business speechless…but this outpouring of support for our local community absolutely blew all of us away!  We couldn’t be prouder to partner with DeWaard & Bode on this and a huge shoutout to all our fans and to every community we’re a part of that stepped up in such a big way!” – Heidi Persson, General Manager/Market President of PNW Media Group.

Donations Still Needed

While this year’s results highlight the generosity of our community, the need for food assistance continues to grow. Community members who wish to support local food banks can still contribute by visiting MyBellinghamNow.com, where ongoing donations will be directed to organizations serving families across Northwest Washington.

The 2025 total marks one of the campaign’s strongest fundraising years, underscoring the region’s commitment to helping neighbors in need.
