Paving work may cause delays on SR 11, 20, I-5

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Summertime roadworks continues this weekend with a series of paving projects.

WSDOT crews will be tackling Highway 20 between Vista View Drive and N Section Street in Burlington starting Sunday night, Aug. 9.

They’ll shut down the eastbound lane from 8:30 p.m. Sunday until about 5 a.m. Monday. Westbound lane paving will take place from 8:30 Monday night, Aug. 10 through 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Single-lane alternating traffic patterns will be in effect while the work is in progress.

South of Bellingham, paving is also scheduled on Chuckanut Drive south of Larrabee State Park. Travelers should expect single-lane alternating traffic from 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11 until about 3:30 p.m.

In Ferndale, an overnight closure Monday night will impact northbound I-5 travelers from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday. Crews are closing the right lane just north of Byers Road to perform road sensor repairs.
