BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBelinghamNow.com) – A reminder that some face lifts are on the horizon for some surfaces around Bellingham.

City Public Works will close James Street between E Bakerview Road and E Kellogg Road starting on Monday, June 8.

Crews will be constructing a new retaining wall and expect that stretch of James to be closed for about three weeks. One lane could reopen once the impacted area is backfilled.

Elsewhere, parts of the Cornwall Park road and parking lot will be closed for maintenance next week.

Park amenities, including trails and the disc golf course, will remain open.
