One person hospitalized following shooting near Bow

BOW, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) Police are investigating another shooting in Skagit County from earlier Friday, June 12.

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of a weapon offense on Sam Bell Road near Bow.

After speaking to witnesses, deputies learned that an altercation broke out between uninvited visitors and people at the residence.

A firearm went off during the incident and struck an unidentified male, who was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives say there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

This comes as Mount Vernon Police are investigating a separate shooting on Thursday, June 11 that left one 23-year-old man dead.
