Seahawks News

Jason Myers played the hero in yesterday’s win for the Seahawks.

Seattle edged the Indianapolis Colts 18-16 behind a franchise-record six field goals by Myers.

Sam Darnold connected with Rashid Shaheed for a pair of late catches to set up Myers for the game-winning 56 yarder. Darnold threw for 271 yards, including over 100 to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but the Hawks weren’t able to find the end zone as they picked up their fourth-straight win.

Indianapolis quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 120 yards and a touchdown in his first game since January 2021 after coming out of retirement for the injury-riddled Colts.

The Hawks are now gearing up for a Thursday night matchup with the LA Rams where the No. 1 seed in the NFC will be on the line at Lumen Field.

A postseason hero for the Mariners is heading to the Big Apple.

ESPN reports the New York Mets have agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal with Jorge Polanco.

Polanco is coming off a career year highlighted by a walk off single in the 15th inning of the Mariners’ Game 5 against the Tigers that sent them to the ALCS. He’s now expected to primarily play first base for the Mets after they lost Pete Alonso in free agency.

The Mariners are on the hunt for a new second baseman, with several reports that they’re targeting St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Brendan Donovan.
