MOUNT VERNON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Mount Vernon plumber trekked across the country to help victims of the devastating Hurricane Helene.

Bo McKenzie, owner of Full Speed Plumbing, traveled over 2,800 miles to partner with Poseidon Plumbing, based in North Carolina.

The two businesses are working together to bring basic supplies to hurricane victims in remote parts of the state, where other organizations have not yet been able to reach.

“We want to be able to serve people and sometimes that’s people on the other side of our continent,” McKenzie said. “We see these things going on and [it] just hit us, we needed to be there.”

Full Speed Plumbing and Poseidon plumbing are asking for donations that will go to hurricane survivors and families in need. So far, they’ve raised over $15,000.
