LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A documentary that chronicles the historic 2020 racial justice protest in Lynden is now available to stream.

The film, simply titled “Lynden,” follows a then-17-year-old girl named Amsa Burke who was adopted from Ethiopia and led the town’s first-ever racial justice march following the killing of George Floyd.

The film was released in August 2024 with showings in Bellingham, Lynden and Mount Vernon.

It’s since been cited in a New York Times article published earlier this year that followed the aftermath of the protest.

The documentary is now streaming on Apple TV+ and is available to rent or purchase on several other platforms, including Prime Video, YouTube and Google Play.

You can listen to an interview with Burke and the filmmakers below.
