BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A temporary successor is taking the helm of Bellingham’s largest homeless outreach organization.

Lighthouse Mission Ministries announced that Alvin Helms has been chosen to serve as their interim CEO.

It comes as current President and CEO Hans Erchinger-Davis will be stepping away from the position at the end of this month.

Helms had been the Chief Operating Officer for the Tacoma Rescue Mission and currently serves as a pastor at Northside Community Church in Bellingham.

Lighthouse Board of Trustees Chair Sam Mullen said that Helms will remain in the role as they continue their search for a permanent CEO.
