BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Work continues on I-5 in Bellingham this week as WSDOT crews hit the interstate.

WSDOT announced that I-5 northbound south of Iowa Street (MP 254) will be reduced to one lane from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Crews will be working to repair a guardrail during that time.

WSDOT says drivers should expect delays on that stretch of I-5 on Wednesday morning.

Emergency repairs from last month’s flood are progressing on the Mount Baker Highway.

WSDOT says crews cleared a culvert last weekend that had been plugged by floodwater near Maple Falls.

Bruce Creek has now returned to its normal path beneath the highway.

The department says it still has some streambed work in the area, so drivers should still expect daytime alternating traffic.
