OLYMPIA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Some Washington residents and businesses could get a bit of their money back from generic medication purchases.
Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown says that he, along with a coalition of nearly 50 others, is on track to finalize settlements over medication pricing.
That coalition has been in legal battles with six companies that manufacture generic medications since 2016.
They’ve accused the companies of illegally inflating prices and working together to keep costs high for consumers.
Brown says between all members of the coalition, the settlement could total nearly $97 million, but it’s unclear how much of that will come to Washington.

Washington and Idaho businesses that purchased the impacted generic drugs during that same time period are also eligible for compensation.
