Excellence in Education Award opens for nominations in Whatcom County

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An award honoring local teachers is expanding in 2025.

Brown & Brown Insurance has opened nominations for their Excellence in Education Award Program.

The $5,000 prize was first awarded last year to Kendall Elementary School teacher Susan Kelley. This year, one public school teacher and one private school teacher will each be chosen for their own $5,000 prize.

Applications are due by March 31, and finalists will be announced in the spring. To nominate a Whatcom County educator, visit the nomination page on Brown & Brown’s website.
