FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Ferndale residents should prepare for some changes to public services as work gets underway on a major project downtown.

The city says parking impacts began on Tuesday between City Hall and the Ferndale Public Library for construction of the new Civic Campus.

The current library parking lot will be closed starting Thursday and a temporary parking lot will be open on the west side of the library while construction lasts.

The elections ballot box near City Hall has also been moved to the Pioneer Pavilion parking lot.

The two-story, 19,000-square-foot Civic Campus building will house city hall, the city council chambers, municipal court and the city’s administrative offices once it’s built.
