The annual Tour de Whatcom kicks off Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 a.m. in downtown Bellingham.

Routes span from 22 to 100 miles, sending bicyclists from Alger and Sudden Valley through Lynden and Birch Bay into Ferndale and back.

Drivers should be prepared to slow down and be mindful of over 800 bicyclists expected to hit the road.
