BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A longtime Bellingham business has announced they are shutting their doors for good.

Pepper Sisters said on their social media pages that following a long summer hiatus, they will not be reopening their doors on N. State Street in the new year.

The restaurant initially announced that they’d be taking a summer break starting July 1. But they noted that following the pandemic, the challenges of running a restaurant became increasingly difficult.

Pepper Sisters opened in downtown Bellingham 36 years ago and were renowned for their red chili sauce, sopapillas and other southwestern-style dishes.
