BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A local outfitter for recreationalists is celebrating 20 years in business.

Backcountry Essentials (1417 N State St.) will host special events, workshops, deals and a party to mark the occasion. The store is offering vendor promos and free storage waxes on skis and snowboards all month long.

With summer just around the bend, it is a great opportunity to stock up on all your outdoor gear to safely hit the trails or get your winter gear ready for storage.

The big event is the Backcountry Anniversary Party on Friday, May 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees can enter a raffle to win prizes while perusing the aisles enjoying drinks, snacks and music.
