WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another storm is heading our way, though it is expected to be a tamer system than the bomb cyclone.

The National Weather Service in Seattle (NWS) says that wind and rain will be coming to western Washington starting on Thursday, Nov. 21 and continuing through the weekend. They expect the worst of the weather will hit on Friday.

Between a quarter and half an inch of rain is predicted to fall in Bellingham over the weekend, while the Lynden and Diablo areas could see up to an inch.

Skiers will be excited to hear that up to 2.5′ of snow may fall at the Mount Baker Ski Area.

NWS adds that while this storm is not expected to be as strong as the Tuesday night bomb cyclone storm, gusty winds will hit our region.

No gusts are expected to exceed 30 mph in coastal Whatcom County. Isolated thunderstorms are possible along the northwest coast of Washington.
