BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new flight destination out of Bellingham appears to be coming with a caveat.

Allegiant Airlines told My Bellingham Now that they’re ending services out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as of Jan. 3, 2026.

The company has been flying customers in and out of California’s busiest airport for over 17 years. A spokesperson for the airline said that the cost of operating out of LAX has become too costly.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that Allegiant was adding a non-stop route between Bellingham and Hollywood Burbank Airport in February.

With the cancellation of the LAX route, Bellingham International Airport will only offer six nonstop destinations in the new year.
