BELLINGHAM, Wash. — You may have noticed tow-zone signs along a portion of I-5.
The Washington State Department of Transportation reports they added the signs on I-5 between the Chuckanut Drive and Slater Road exits in partnership with the State Patrol.
The agency says the new Tow Zone signs are in place for driver safety so that law enforcement has room to respond to crashes and winter crews have space to work.
If your vehicle breaks down on the highway, they urge you to call 911.
