WASHINGTON PASS, Wash. – Good news if you love exploring the North Cascades.

Crews have reached the summit of Washington Pass.

WSDOT says they are now on the home stretch of their clearing work on Highway 20.

They are still a couple of weeks away from opening up the pass though, with guardrail, sign and pavement repairs still in the works.

Crews started working to clear the route on March 27th and it usually takes six to eight weeks to finish the job.
