BELLINGHAM, Wash. – With the snow now mostly melted, new weather advisories are in effect for Whatcom County.
A Wind Advisory will remain in effect through early Wednesday, December 28th, for western Whatcom and Skagit Counties, as well as the San Juans.
Gusts of up to 50 mph are possible.
A Coastal Flood Advisory will also be in effect from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
And an Areal Flood Watch is in effect until Wednesday morning for Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
The ground is saturated, and runoff could lead to minor flooding of creeks and rivers, as well as in areas with poor drainage.
The National Weather Service in Seattle is also warning of an increased risk of landslides.
And a Winter Weather advisory is in effect for the Cascades, which could see anywhere from 6 inches to a foot of new snow through tomorrow morning.
