BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County has just over 13,000 adults without a high school diploma.

Whatcom Community College is trying to lower that number by offering a new, low-cost and fully online program to help adults who didn’t graduate but want to earn a diploma.

The High School Completion-Plus program offers an alternative to onsite education for students aged 18 and over.

The program allows students to receive credit towards their diploma by demonstrating knowledge, skills, and competencies gained outside of the classroom.

Tuition is $25 per quarter and all books and learning materials are available free online.

For more information on the program, call 360.383.3060 or visit www.whatcom.edu/hsc
