ANACORTES, Wash. — Swinomish Golf Links reopened Wednesday nearly two months after vandals caused more than $400,000 in damage by spraying grass-killing herbicide on most of the course’s greens.
Dallas Widmark, the Lodge General Manager for the Swinomish Casino & Lodge tells KOMO they let about 300 people golf for free to celebrate the reopening and to say ‘thank you.’
Widmark says they also invited non-profit organizations to collect donations at the start of each hole as another way to give back to the community.
No arrests have been made and the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
