SUMAS, WA. – (KGMI.com) The Sumas water supply will taste a little chlorinated early next month.

In a notice released Friday, November 17th, the city stated it is running chlorine through their water system from December 4th to 8th, and residents may taste the difference.

The city says the chlorination is a preventative measure.

Because the system sources water from well sites, chlorinating the whole system is recommended.

The taste will leave the water supply a few days after the process ends.

If you have any questions and live in the city limits, you can call City Hall at 360-988-5711.

Rural customers with questions can call Ed Tyas at 360-815-1804 or Del Heutink at 360-220-2060.
