ROCKWOOD, Wash. – Still reeling from the death of her husband just months ago, Ami Strahan is now mourning the loss of her son who confronted the Freeman High School shooter and lost his life.
The Spokesman Review reported fellow classmates described Sam Strahan as the “class clown” and a family friend said it was inspiring to watch Sam grow up to be a “positive and happy spirit” to those around him.
And now Sam can also be described as a true hero.
A GoFundMe page originally set up to help Sam and his sister get through college after their father’s sudden death is now also dedicated to helping Sam’s mother and sister get through the tragedy of losing both so soon.
As of Friday morning, the page had raised more than $50,000.
