Sheriff’s Office searching for robbery suspect in Skagit County

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in a robbery.

The Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old James Joseph Kelly is known to frequent eastern Skagit County.

He is wanted for robbery, harassment with threats to kill, possession of a stolen vehicle and additional charges.

Sheriff’s deputies located Kelly in Concrete on Sunday, September 24th, but he swam across the Skagit River to Rockport when they tried to arrest him.

He was last seen by security cameras on Littlefield Road off Highway 20.

Kelly stands 5’9″ and weighs 150 pounds with very short, dark hair.
