BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Shellfish harvesting in many Whatcom County areas has been re-opened for clams, mussels, oysters, and scallops.
Recent health department tests showed PSP biotoxin levels have decreased on many local beaches.
The only closures remaining are for butter and varnish clams in Drayton Harbor, Point Roberts, Portage Bay, Chuckanut Bay and Bellingham Bay to the Skagit County line.
