BELLINGHAM, WA – A man has been arrested in connection to a murder at Boulevard Park earlier this year.

Bellingham Police spokesperson Megan Peters says detectives arrested 22-year-old Elijah Belmont of Marysville Wednesday morning.

Belmont faces a first-degree murder charge in connection to the death of Henry King at Boulevard Park.

King was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in the water near Taylor Dock on March 12th.

He was well known for frequenting the park and offering sports memorabilia cards for sale.

Bellingham Police made the arrest in Marysville with help from Marysville Police, Everett Police and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Police have not released details about a motive or evidence linking Belmont to King’s murder.

Peters adds that Bellingham Police detectives have spent hundreds of hours investigating the case over the past nine months.
