OLYMPIA, Wash. — Governor Inslee appointed a new judge to the Whatcom County Superior Court Tuesday.

David Freeman replaces Raquel Montoya-Lewis as she moves on to the Washington State Supreme Court.

Freeman studied at Western Washington University and held a couple positions in the Whatcom County Prosecutor’s Office for over 5-years before moving on to other Western Washington courts.

He’s spent the last 9-years as a review judge in the State Employment Security Department where Inslee says he gained judicial experience and left a positive impression on people who appeared before him.
