Holiday events this weekend in Whatcom County

BELLINGHAM, WA. – (KGMI.com) There are a lot of holiday events happening in Whatcom County this weekend.

The Port of Bellingham is hosting the annual Holiday Port Festival on Saturday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The family friendly event is held in the Bellingham Cruise Terminal with live performances, a gingerbread house contest and photos with Santa.

Later Saturday, Bellingham will have their annual tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30 pm at Depot Market Square.

The Ferndale Heritage Society is hosting the Olde Fashioned Christmas at Pioneer Village this Friday and Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m.

Also on Saturday, Lynden will host the Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade that runs along Front Street.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. at 18th Street and Front Street will close to traffic at 4:30 pm.
