SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – Highway 2 closed again Monday afternoon while crews remove a burning tree in the Skykomish area.

The tree toppled at the top of a cliff above the highway and a large section broke off and fell onto the road.

Hot embers are visible inside the huge tree trunk.

WSDOT says it’s unclear how long the operation will take.
