BELLINGHAM, Wash. – In case you missed the change, parking in Bellingham is now more expensive.

The price changes approved by the Bellingham City Council earlier this year came into effect on Sunday, May 1st in downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven.

Parking is now $1 per hour, up 25 cents in Bellingham and the whole dollar for the previously free Fairhaven business district.

In addition, parking enforcement will now go from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and parking ticket fines have increased to $30.
