FERNDALE, WASH. – Ferndale Police say a robbery at the Portal Way AM/PM on Saturday was an inside job.

They arrested Shanjeet Brar at a local hotel after people noticed he match the description of the robber.

Baldev Gill was the clerk at the time.

He was injured and transported to Saint Joseph Hospital, but police say it was all staged.

They say Brar confessed.

Investigators are still looking for Gill.

They ask that you call police if you know where Gill is.

Police say a safe at the store holds $19,000, some of which they have recovered.
