FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale Police launched an interactive online crime map to provide the public greater transparency as well as help identify hot spots and trends for patrol and detectives.
Police Chief Kevin Turner says this new tool “compliments our boots on the ground experience” by giving officers an overall view of the area and recent criminal activity.
According to the City of Ferndale, crime has reduced by 65% over the last decade, and FBI statistics from 2018 helped put Ferndale at the rank as the 21st safest city in Washington.
