Search and rescue crews from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island came to the aid of injured climbers near Mount Baker and in the Olympic National Forest on Sunday.
A call came in early in the afternoon of a 39-year-old woman who suffered a possible broken ankle along with neck, back and leg injuries in the saddle between Mount Baker and Colfax Peak.
They transported her by helicopter to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham.
The team was later called to assist a 47-year-old man who suffered a head injury and broken leg after falling 100 feet in the Olympic National Forest.
They flew him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
