BELLINGHAM, WA – The Birchwood Park parking lot will be closed this week as the park gets some new improvements.
Bellingham Parks and Recreation says community members will enjoy a new restroom, improved signage and the addition of a bicycle pump track.
The parking lot is closed on August 16 and 17 as workers install new parking stops and curbing repairs.
Recent improvements are part of the City’s plan to make Birchwood Park more accessible to the community.
The Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and Bellingham Parks are planning a grand opening party to celebrate the upgrades later this summer.
